Abstract

Objective: Selection of the most optimal and durable base structure for the further design of a covered swap body with sliding side walls and roof. Methods: The analysis of the design solutions of the base of the swap body were carried out using a finite element method with the SolidWorks Simulation software package, and in accordance with technical and regulatory documents. Results: Four variants of the swap body base with different design features were designed. Diagrams of the distribution of equivalent nodal stresses in the structure of the demountable body foundations were obtained. From the results of the study and calculation, the most robust design of the base of the swap body was selected. Practical importance: The basic base structure described will serve for the design and construction of a covered swap body with retractable side walls and a roof.
