Abstract

Today food and beverage departments play a critical role in increasing revenue in hotels. In particular, it can be said that employees engaged in foodservice is most important human resources. Service quality varies depending on individual personality of these human resources. This study verified the causal relationship between individual personality, conflict type and job satisfaction. Questionnaires were distributed to 250 employees engaged in food service of a hotel located in Busan. The study period was for 21 days from September 1 to 20, 2017. SPSS 18.0 was used for statistical analysis. The findings of the research showed that the Personal Characteristics and Conflict types increase job satisfaction.
