Abstract
This scientific study presents how the healthcare system was improved first on the territory of the USSR, and then in the Russian Federation. The author presents an analysis of the expenditures of the budget system of the Russian Federation on healthcare for the period 2015-2020. Comparative statistics on the COVID-19 pandemic with the countries of Europe and the USA are also given, and emphasis is placed on the fact that the course of modern Russia is aimed at preventive measures, which as a result allows not to bring the spread of infection throughout the human body.
