Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of improving the methods of text-based language teaching in the modern information society. The text is characterized as an environment for the development of students’ communication and speech skills. The author notes that the development of students' speech is based on outdated language material. The article reveals the features and difficulties of perception and assimilation of the content of the educational text by students in the process of using modern information technologies.The author reveals the role of corpus technology in the methodology of language teaching.
