Abstract

The purpose of this study is to construct a social welfare field training curriculum applying the capstone design and verify its effectiveness. In order to examine the effectiveness of the social welfare field training curriculum applying the capstone design, this study conducted a survey before and after the social welfare field training, through which changes in the core competencies of a total of 61 prospective social workers were confirmed. When confirming the effectiveness of the social welfare field training curriculum applying the capstone design, the main results are as follows. First of all, the seven core competencies of prospective social workers were improved overall. Among the seven core competencies of prospective social workers, the score of ‘Core Competency 3: Combination of Research and practice’ improved the most. Based on these results, this study suggested the need for an cooperation system between educational institutions and practice institutions to improve the core competencies of prospective social workers.
