Abstract

In this study, 9,661 words were extracted by collecting 13,266 social media posts related to 'retro futurism fashion' over the past 3 years. Among the extracted vocabulary, 66 vocabulary representing the highest exposure frequency were selected as core major vocabulary, and image vocabulary with high connection centrality was found through binary mode analysis by design element, and finally 26 image vocabulary representing retro futurism fashion image was selected. Finally, by clustering the derived retro futurism fashion image vocabulary, virtuality(sensuous, modern, unique, luxurious, attractive, fanciful, conceptual, cosmic, virtual, wild), coexistence(retro, co-existent, futuristic, timely, temporal, symbolic, emphasizing, creatively), artistry(artistic, shiny, spatial, stimulating), individuality(millennial, individual, colorful, lively). This research method is expected to provide basic data for user-centered fashion image analysis research in the future by presenting a research methodology in which qualitative recognition of emotional images is implemented through quantitative evaluation.
