Abstract

Internet folklore is not only a way for users to communicate, but also a tool for popularizing images, including literary heroes. The spread of certain memes is an interesting process both from the point of view of sociology, cultural studies, and from the point of view of linguistics. Stirlitz is an iconic image for Russian culture, which has become a symbol of Soviet intelligence. Internet memes about this hero have been actively distributed by netizens in recent years. The interest of the Internet environment in this character, in the TV series "Seventeen Moments of Spring" is a curious phenomenon that requires study. The article classifies memes about the Soviet intelligence officer Isaev-Stirlitz, analyzes the ways of creating Internet memes about him, identifies the main reasons for the audience's interest in this hero in the Internet space. The author draws conclusions about the image of Stirlitz, formed on the Internet through online folklore.
