Abstract

The article deals with the formation of value orientations as the basis of social activity of pupils of the 4 – 6 th grades because of the introduction of the Valuable Landmarks program into the educational process. The emphasis is on the importance, for this age period, of social value orientation. The detailed description of the given program with the indication of goals, tasks and specifics of teaching is given. The principles of conducting training sessions are singled out and grounded. The effectiveness of implementing the social value program “Valuable Landmarks” on the formation of the pupils’ value orientations in students is proved.Classes for students on the formation of social skills are integrated into the training cycle, whose idea is to increase social activity based on the value-purpose position. During the training, the student opens a variety of his life roles and builds his world of values. This program includes games and exercises that form a positive self-awareness, teach you to appreciate your and someone else’s personality and work in a team, that is, those qualities of a socially active person who can solve multistage tasks.In the subject of trainings, a line is traced, from awareness and value adoption of oneself, values of the world to the value consciousness of ourselves in society. Therefore, the main part of the training is reflection training, a gradual, ever-deepening awareness of oneself, which is the basis of success. Then, time is spent developing social skills, tactics for effective interaction with the environment, taking into account the information and experience received. The following is a skill development in solving their own problems.Consequently, the research carried out and proved the effectiveness of introducing into the educational process of the social program “Valuable Landmarks” on the formation of value orientations of students as the basis of social activity. It has been experimentally confirmed that the system of training sessions, aimed at developing and educating vital personal and social values, is capable of acting as one of the most effective tools in the socialization of pupils.
