Abstract

Every year the number of failures of the contact system devices caused by icing remains high. It is an indication of the necessity to increase the efficiency of measures to prevent icing on the contact system wires and the electric rolling-stock power collectors. The article considers the factors that affect the parameters and functioning of the contact system negatively. The statistics of the contact system failures of JSC “RZD” is given, technical condition of the contact system devices of the period from 2019 to 2022 is researched. Due to the “KASANT” system an operative monitoring of the diagnostic failures and their consequences caused by icing is conducted. Pareto diagram of the probability of the failure occurrence in the kinds of devices of the contact system is constructed.
