Abstract

Education of a personality that has a tolerant mentality is one of the most important problems of modernity in connection with global changes and the disequilibrium of the world in which they occur, so the development of tolerance towards other ways of life in the personality of the younger generation becomes especially relevant. This, in turn, necessitates the formation of tolerance as a special property of professional consciousness, first of all, in teachers themselves. The article substantiates the relevance of the problem of forming tolerance in students of pedagogical university: it emphasizes the theoretical and practical interest in the phenomenon of tolerance and methods of its diagnostics.
