Abstract
본 연구는 근거이론(Grounded Theory)방식을 이용하여 학술연구를 목적으로 한 이용자들의 불확신성과 관련된 정보추구행태를 조사하였다. 이론적 표집에 의하여 17명의 경영학 박사과정 연구자들을 대상으로 질문지, 심층적 인터뷰, 정보탐색과정상의 생각을 말하기 방식(Think-aloud descriptions)을 통한 자료수집이 이루어졌고 수집된 자료는 근거이론의 지속적인 비교분석에 의해 분석되었다. 연구결과는 정보요구의 식별, 정보시스템의 선정, 탐색어의 선택, 정보시스템의 이용 및 탐색결과의 평가 등 5단계에 걸친 이용자 불확신성을 식별하였다. 각 불확신성과 관련, 불확신성의 긍정적인 측면이 조사되었다. 연구결과의 주요 시사점은 정보시스템 및 서비스의 개선과 관련된다. Using grounded theory, this study investigated users' information seeking behaviors associated with their perceptions of uncertainty. Based on a theoretical sampling, 17 doctoral students in the field of business management were recruited. Data was collected through the methods of questionnaire, interviewing, and think-aloud descriptions. The results identified user perceptions of uncertainty in the following stages: identification of information needs, selection of information systems, selection of search terms, actual use of systems, and evaluation of search results. In addition, positive aspects of uncertainties were presented. Major implications relate to information system and service improvements.
