Abstract
Traditional spiritual and moral values play a vital role in fostering a sense of civic identity and cohesion in Russian society. They provide a common framework of beliefs, rituals and values that unite all people. By contributing to a common understanding and meaning, these values strengthen social ties and promote cooperation, solidarity and mutual support among members of Russian society. All of this contributes not only to the unity of the Russian people, but also to the preservation of Russian civilization. The goal of this work is to demonstrate the importance of studying traditional values in the school curriculum of social studies, which play an important role in shaping the worldview of the younger generation of Russia. It also aims to show the significance of traditional values for modern Russia and Russian civilization as a whole.
