Abstract
The purpose of the study was to study the anatomy of the facial nerve and its surrounding structures. For the study, preparations of human corpses were used, in which the topographic and anatomical relationships of the facial nerve with surrounding landmarks were determined. Based on the data obtained, three types of the position of the main trunk can be noted: high, medium and low. The high and low positions constitute the extreme types. The connections of the terminal branches of the facial nerve with each other and with the branches of the trigeminal nerve are also highlighted.
