Abstract

The purpose of this study was to derive the factors for establishing regional smart tourism ecosystems through AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and to evaluate its importance and priority. The AHP hierarchical structure consisted of 4 main determinants with 19 attributes. The data were collected from 33 smart tourism experts (private companies, public sector, academia) in the Busan area. As a result of AHP analysis, the priority of each high-level factor in the hierarchical structure was in the order of smart tourism support policy, smart tourism ICT development, smart tourism service strategy, and smart tourism governance. The result shows that support policy is the most important in establishing regional smart tourism ecosystems. Top-level and low-level factors for each high-level factor were legal innovation, platform development, convenience, and sustainable management. This study is meaningful in that it has systematized existing smart tourism ecosystems research and presented the criteria for objective judgment in decision-making for regional smart tourism policies and establishing strategic projects.
