Abstract

The article discusses various theoretical approaches to explaining the causes of unemployment. In particular, the classic explanation is described, according to which high wages can lead to unemployment. A Marxist explanation based on the dynamics of capital development is also considered. The article also touches on the temporary causes of unemployment and the impact of trade union activities and legislation on the unemployment rate.
