Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Pilates exercise on obese middle-aged women on physical stress and improvement of blood circulation. The following conclusions were drawn. As a result of applying Pilates exercise, there was a significant difference between the groups in α-amylase, which is a physical stress, and it was found that there was an interaction effect between the period × group. In the blood circulation improvement factor, total cholesterol and LDL-C were decreased, indicating that there was an interaction effect between the period × group, and the triglyceride was also decreased, showing a significant change in the measurement period, and there was an interaction effect. Also, HDL-C showed an increased result, indicating that there was an interaction effect between period × group. Combining the above results, it was found that the participation of obese middle-aged women in Pilates exercise was effective in reducing physical stress and improving blood circulation. Therefore, it is thought that Pilates exercise is a recommended program because it plays a positive role in maintaining and improving the health of subjects exposed to vascular disease due to stress from daily life, home and work life for obese middle-aged women. If these exercises are carried out for a longer period of time and the qualitative and quantitative elements of exercise are supplemented according to the subject, it is thought that a healthy old age will be reached.
