Abstract

On the basis of the analysis of increasingly stringent requirements for quality of machining of parts, the increase of reliability of their functioning, some questions concerning increase of productivity of machining of flat surfaces of parts at the expense of use of the face mills equipped with superhard materials are considered. The directions of improvement of process of machining of flat surfaces by use of new combined schemes of machining of surfaces and perfection of geometry of cutting parts of mills are established. Perspective directions of creation of new designs of face mills with use of difficult form-forming movements are established. The advantages of the kinematic transformation of the circular trajectory of the forming movements of cutting and deforming elements are determined, which makes it possible to ensure uniform roughness along the width of the machined surface. Rational modes of machining of flat surfaces of parts by the improved combined methods are offered.
