Abstract

This article provides an analysis of the dynamics of trade between Russia and the countries of Latin Caribbean America over the past 20 years and determines the direction of its development in the medium term. The paper identifies the coincidence of the trend of Russian goods turnover with Latin America with the general trend of its foreign trade, as well as the discrepancy in the dynamics of exports and imports. The role and place of this region and its individual countries in the structure of Russian foreign trade are defined. The author considers the dynamics and commodity structure of Russia's trade with the largest Latin American partners are analyzed. The most significant examples of the participation of Russian companies in projects for the development of national economies in the region are given. Promising areas of trade between Russia and Latin America are identified: high technology; energy, oil and mining equipment; supply of aircraft and helicopters; creation of a motor hub; railway construction; expansion of the supply of fertilizers and agricultural equipment.
