Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the moderated mediating effect of positive psychological capital on emotion display rule, vocational calling, emotional exhaustion among emotional labor. A total of 300 emotional laborers were asked to complete the questionnaires and the data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and PROCESS Macro program. The results were as follows. First, emotion display rule had no significant effect on emotional exhaustion. Second, emotion display rule had significantly positive effect on vocational calling. Third, vocational calling were found to have significantly negative effect on emotional exhaustion. Fourth, positive psychological capital were found to have significantly negative effect on emotional exhaustion. Fifth, a mediating model showed that an association between emotion display rule and emotional exhaustion were fully mediated by vocational calling. Seventh, positive psychological capital showed the moderated mediating effect of emotion display rule and vocational calling on emotional exhaustion. Finally, the implications and limitation of the present study are discussed.
