Abstract
A retrospective and prospective study from June 2019 to June 2020 was conducted. The data of 116 patients with thyroid nodules were analyzed using ARFI elastography and FNA techniques. All cases underwent conventional sonography and the final diagnosis was based on the histological investigation. In our study the preoperative diagnostic accuracy of single ARFI elastography was 57%, of single FNA77,8%, and combination of ARFI elastography and FNA-95%. We concluded that FNA combined and followed with ARFI elastography improves the diagnosis of thyroid nodules.
