Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the features peculiar to the structural organisation of a complex syntactic unity in the Tatar language. The paper describes types of syntactic links between sentences of a complex syntactic unity. The researcher analyses in detail a chain syntactic link, which is realised through the subject or through the predicate, by repeating elements of the subject or the predicate of a previous statement. Scientific novelty of the study lies in conducting a comprehensive analysis of the types of a chain link in the Tatar language, the features of using a chain link in functional styles of the Tatar language. As a result of the analysis, it has been found that a chain link is used in all styles of the language. All kinds of a chain link can be found in the language of fiction and publicism. While a chain link by means of lexical repetition is more characteristic of the scientific style, a chain synonymic link and a chain pronominal link are widely used in publicism.
