Abstract

The objective of the article is to show synaesthetic connections in art and to reveal the features of the artistic language of the deaf. The authors analyse different views of researchers on the problem of synaesthesia. The main content of the paper is the analysis of paintings and graphic works of the deaf, which shows that visual arts of the deaf have a number of features. According to the results of the study, the authors draw the conclusion about the features of the artistic language of the deaf. The article identifies the features of the artistic language of the deaf in work with colour, rhythm, composition in visual arts. Finally, it summarizes new material on the subject under study, which is connected with visual arts of the deaf.
