Abstract

The article is devoted to identifying and systematizing semantic relations between productive words with reflected synonyms appearing as a result of figurative word-formative motivation. The originality of the study is conditioned by the fact that the semantic similarity of productive words is explicated at the level of primary lexico-semantic variants. The findings indicate that reflected synonymy and figurative word-formative motivation are determined by semantic interrelation of productive words, which is implemented through logical or associative relations.
