Abstract

This study analyzed the factors affecting the work performance ability of fire safety managers focused on safety behaviors. To analyze the direct and indirect influence factors affecting safety behavior of fire safety managers, the safety leadership, safety values, safety attitude, empowerment, and organizational commitment were selected as relevant factors. Further, a survey was conducted on fire safety managers in Chungcheongbuk-do. Utilizing the Structural Equation method for the analysis of survey results, it was found that the factor that directly affects the safety behavior of fire safety managers was safety leadership, while organizational commitment and empowerment negatively affect safety behavior. Therefore, to improve the work performance ability of fire safety managers, it is necessary to improve the communication and concern, and inducing participation, willingness, and attitude of organizations corresponding to safety leadership.
