Abstract
이 연구는 홍성, 진안, 완주 등에 거주하는 7명의 귀농귀촌 여성들의 토종씨앗지키기 실천을 에코페미니즘 관점에서 분석한 글이다. 본문은 총 네 장으로 구성된다. 첫 장은 토종 맛에 관한 토착지식의 재현 과정을 통해 몸에 체현된 물질성이 어떤 정치적 함의를 지니는지 살핀다. 둘째 장은 토종씨앗지키기 과정에서 나타나는 나눔, 협력, 연대의 정치경제적 실천의 의미를 도출한다. 셋째 장은 생산자로서의 여성의 경험을 부각함으로써 근대 자본주의 가부장제의 위계적 젠더 규범을 비판한다. 넷째 장은 토종씨앗지키기를 둘러싸고 나타나는 여성들간의 정체성의 차이를 차이의 정치, 대화의 정치로 접근한다. 그 동안 토종씨앗지키기에 관한 연구는 식량위기나 종자주권과 같은 국가적 담론, 혹은 여성농민운동 영역 안에서만 논의 되어 왔다. 필자는 일반 귀농귀촌 여성의 일상적인 경험 안에서 토종씨앗지키기의 실천의 의미를 포착하고, 토종씨앗지키기가 에코페미니즘 지형 안에서 차지하는 위치와 시사점이 무엇인지를 분석했다.
