Abstract

The paper considers the possibility of repurposing a plant for the production of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) for the esterification of a light fraction of gasoline by catalytic cracking. The conversion of the MTBE installation to the process of esterification of the light fraction of catalytic cracking gasoline will allow obtaining an additional amount of high-octane component for automotive gasoline
