Abstract

Abstract: This is the second one of the article series dedicated to the issues of automated assignment of measurement scales in the solution of inverse photogrammetry notches when the exact variance of the measurements is not known. As theoretical verification of the previously obtained experimental results and performed an in-depth analysis in the first part of the article, approximate analytical expressions linking the root-mean-square error of unit weight with features of accurate measurements before and after adjustment were shown. The uncertainty in the analytical representation of this dependence was eliminated. One of its settings previously presented in the form of an unknown function is defined. The concept of measuring the quantity of residual information is introduced. Its role in solving the problem of equalizing and the main properties was shown. The reliability conditions of scales measurements were disclosed, as well as the basic criterion of the adjustment results reliability and the method of ensuring compliance with this criterion when the inverse notches on optic-electronic satellite images was substantiated.
