Abstract

In modern conditions Russian retail companies don’t only create Sustainable development strategies, but also introduce ESG-principles into their business processes in order to provide ESG- transformation. Thus, the supplier’s requirements are beginning to change, now the providers also need to direct their attention to sustainable development, take the additional ESG-trainings, transform the production chain in order to meet the new requirements. In the article, the author analyzed the supply chains of Russian retail companies, proposed recommendations to create the responsible supply chains that would reduce operational risks, increase business sustainability and also build long-term partnerships with suppliers.
