Abstract

The results of computer studies of long-distance transmission modes of 500 kV, equipped with a longitudinal compensation unit, shunt reactors and a controlled source of reactive power are presented. It is shown that in the presence of all of the above devices, the relative losses of active power at the main section of the power transmission line are reduced by half compared with situations of their absence.
