Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of coach trust between authentic leadership and sports flow, sports emotion, and stress in student-athletes.BR Method: In total, 150 student-athletes (101 men were recruited and caoch trust, authentic leadership, sports flow, sports emotion, and stress were measured. The medaition analysis was conducted using Hayes’s Process Macro.BR Results: The results of this study are as follows. Coach trust showed a significant complete mediating effect between authentic leadership and sports flow. Coach trusts howed a significant complete mediating effect between authentic leadership and sports emotion. In addition, coach trust showed a significant complete mediating effect between authentic leadership and stress.BR Conclusion: This study indicates the importance of mediating role of coahc trust and the need for a trusting relationship between coaches and student-athletes in a sports environment.
