Abstract
In order to assess the state of soils in the Tula region, the anionic-cationic composition of soils was determined. The most polluted of the soils are of the sanitary protection zone of chemical and metallurgical enterprises. The data obtained indicate a high level of anthropogenic pollution of soils of cities with nitrate and sulfate ions in comparison with the clean zone of the Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Estate. It was found that violation of the Na+ / K+ ratio, which is an important parameter for the mechanism of soil resistance to salinity, should be noted.
