Abstract

The article focuses on the principles of teaching Chinese phraseology based on the cognitive approach. The aim of the study is to characterize the most commonly used in the teaching practice principles of learning within the cognitive approach to help students better understand and apply Chinese phraseological expressions, which will contribute to improving their language skills, expanding the experience of intercultural communica-tion, awareness of the features of Chinese culture, embedded in the semantic field of stable language expres-sions. The work characterizes the most common of these principles, demonstrating a high efficiency of applica-tion on the material of the Chinese language. From the point of view of the cognitive approach the following principles are significant: the principle of reliance on consciousness, the principle of activation of cognitive pro-cesses, the principle of reliance on mnemonics, the principle of step-by-step learning, the principle of taking into account the cognitive styles of students. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that their use in practice with stu-dents significantly increases the effectiveness of teaching Chinese phraseology and the assimilation of foreign (Chinese) linguistic material by the objects of pedagogical influence.
