Abstract

The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of official written texts of the first third of the XX century (1900-1933) and of the beginning of the XXI century in the aspect of their syntactic arrangement. The research methodology includes the syntactic analysis method, comparative and descriptive methods. The findings indicate that syntactic arrangement of formal documents has changed. The following tendencies are identified: prevalence of one-component sentences, simplification of syntactic structures, introduction of direct speech, avoidance of participial phrases and adverbial participial phrases.
