Abstract

Climate change is no longer a matter of the future. Its impact and consequences are already visible and tangible today. If global-warming gas emissions continue to rise at the same rate as over the past few decades, there could be seven times more hot days by the end of this century than today. Under this scenario, the summer heat in the US could be more intense than in Egypt or India. Climate change is a global challenge with its scope and comprehensive scales, which has a catastrophic effect on the future existence of all living organisms living on our planet. At the same time, it is crucial to understand how climate change affects the opportunities and prospects for the development of the global economy. It is not realistic to make accurate estimates of how climate change will affect the global economy. But the fact that its "blows" will be irreversible in many areas cannot be underestimated or even denied.
