Abstract

Objective: to improve treatment effectiveness in patients after viral lung injury caused by SARS-CоV-2 by inclusion of physical pulmonary rehabilitation (PPR) programmes in the complex treatment. Materials and methods. We studied 17 patients with lung injury. Before and after 14 days of PPR all the patients underwent complex clinical and functional examination, life quality and depression assessment. Results. After a course of PPR the patients demonstrated a statistically significant decrease in symptom severity, increase in SpO2, increase in 6-min walking distance (6MWD), and decrease in anxiety level. All the patients had positive trend to increase in lung diffusing capacity and life quality improvement. Rehabilitation programmes are strongly advised for COVID-19 survivors.
