Abstract

The article presents a psychological study of the characteristics of the attitude towards the disease of men and women of age groups with COVID-19, which is formed in the context of a pandemic. To compare the characteristics of attitudes towards the disease during COVID-19 among men and women of different age groups. Organizational research method was chosen as the organizational one. Empirical research methods are psychodiagnostics, clinical-psychological, socio-demographic and content analysis. The sample included 120 people, of which 68 were women and 52 were men. The average age is 30.75 years. Women of both early adulthood (16-24 years) and mature age (25-44 years) are characterized by manifestations of anxiety, expressed in the form of distrust in the chosen treatment strategies, fears for the prognosis of the disease; narrowing social contacts; problems with sleep and appetite. While most men from both age groups are characterized by manifestations of asthenia. Men and women of late adulthood (45-65 years) are characterized by focusing their attention on the functional state and symptoms that arise during the disease, in contrast to representatives of the above-described age groups. However, men are more focused on their own well-being than women.
