Abstract
The article analyzes the reasons, course and main results of the Amur unions of Nikolai Nikolaevich Muravyov, organized by him with the aim of joining the Russian Empire and leaving the banks of the Amur in the middle of the 19th century. Particular attention is paid to foreign policy conditions, in the opening of navigation along the Amur and the annexation of the Amur region became the most important party for ensuring the security of the Far Eastern rulers of the Russian Empire, taking into account the strengthening of European power in the Pacific Ocean and the course of the Crimean War. The most important results achieved by N. N. Muravyov based on the results of three alloys organized in 1854, 1855 and 1857 are noted.
