Abstract
The article presents the positive and negative results of the modernization of Russian criminal legislation, examines regulatory legal acts that unreasonably change its structure, hinder the implementation of the principle of legality, destroy the existing system of domestic criminal law. The author offers options for eliminating the negative consequences of such modernization and solving the problem of non-systemic modification of the criminal law.
