Summary
Crop production plays a significant role in agriculture in Ukraine. More than half of the fund for the consumption of basic food products is formed at the expense of the crop industry. Gross production of crops has been steadily increasing over the past years. In 2017, crop production accounted for 66.8% of gross domestic product (GDP) of agriculture, produced by all categories of farms, and 77.3% of gross domestic product produced by agricultural enterprises. The purpose of the study is to analyze the state of the crop industry, identify the current problems of the industry and determine the main avenues for their solution, taking into account the goals of sustainable development of Ukraine 20162030
