Abstract
The article explains the actual issue of financial support for the development of small and medium enterprises and the sources of SME financing in Ukraine. Explains necessity for attracting external sources of financing for small and medium-sized businesses according to tendency of the balance of financial results of SMEs. Presented a list of sources of financing in Ukraine and the countries of The European Union. Presented the results of the survey of small and medium enterprises. Interrogation conducted to determine the sources of financing of business and the problems of attracting financial resources. The article considers alternative sources of financing. The alternative sources are gaining popularity due to lack of own funds in small and medium enterprises. The second reason is high lending rates for loans granted to small enterprises. The article includes the list of international organizations, which are financing small and medium business in Ukraine. Investigated the peer-2-peer mechanism of lending and advantages of leasing compared to traditional lending.
