Abstract

The article examines the derivational potential of the Tatar verbs of behaviour within the framework of the word-formative paradigm. Structural specificity of these lexical units is identified, word-formative meanings of verb-forming suffixes are revealed, auxiliary and modifying verbs participating in the formation of compound verbs of behaviour are described. The analysis of the structural and word-formative potential of verbs of behaviour allows identifying the specificity of relations between their derivational and semantic segments. The research findings can serve as a basis to study semantic relation between motivating and motivated words.
