Abstract

This paper deals with some aspects of modern vocational music education in Russia and Korea. If the Russian terminology has been formed under the German-French influence, the Korean system is tightly connected with rules accepted in the United States of America. The terminology systems of both countries, the characteristics of their practical application, and the strategies for teaching historical and theoretical disciplines are treated with a focus onforeign students’ comprehension of professional level musical concepts. Solutions for the problems related to the distinction of teaching methods and terminological systems between Russia and Korea are proposed.
