Abstract

The article considers the problems of security and resilience of power grids to electromagnetic pulses (EMP) and cyber-attacks. Potential threats caused by these factors, their impact on the performance and reliability of power systems are analyzed. Modern methods of protecting power grids, including technical measures to counter EMP and cyber-attacks, as well as integrated strategies aimed at increasing the resilience of power systems to combined threats are also studied. Particular attention is paid to proposing a holistic approach to ensuring security that combines protection against physical and digital risks.
