Abstract
The article publishes five letters (for 1943–1949) from G.F. Debets to N.S. Rozov, the only anthropologist at that time in Tomsk state university. These let-ters contain important recommendations for organizing field anthropological work and collecting comparative data in neighboring Tomsk regions. Regions, methodological advice on the unification and processing of somatological mate-rials during survey of indigenous and mestizo groups of Western and Southern Siberia. Total in the TSU CA collections there are 11 letters and 1 postcard from Georgy Frantsevich, which date from 1940–1960. During this most difficult peri-od of development anthropological direction at Tomsk University actual director, curator of scientific research in anthropology Georgy Frantsevich Debets became the head of the Siberian region.
