Abstract
The article researches the main provisions of the state support system for small and medium-sized en-terprises, which has developed at the national level and at the level of constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The target indicators and the degree of achievement of their values in three-year comprehensive programs for the development of small business in Moscow in the 2000s are considered, the first five-year subprogram for the development of small business for 2010–2016 is analyzed. Based on the results of con-tinuous federal statistical monitoring of small enterprises for 2010 and for 2015, an assessment is given of the main indicators of small business development in Moscow and the Russian Federation.
