Abstract

The paper considers the problem of neurotization of modern society, in particular, the narcissistic accentuation of the character of students, and its influence on the formation of significant competencies of future specialists. The socio-economic consequences of narcissistic trauma for an individual and society as a whole are systematized. The results of a 13-year study of the spread of narcissistic character accentuation among students of technical specialties through graphic tests are presented. The connections between the level of anxiety and self-esteem and narcissistic accentuation of character are revealed. The factors of the formation of narcissistic character accentuation in the analyzed group were studied and generalized. The influence of narcissistic character accentuation on the formation of significant competencies of future specialists is analyzed. Socio-economic solutions are proposed that contribute to improving the situation and reducing the negative consequences of the spread of the phenomenon.
