СОЦІАЛІЗАЦІЯ СТУДЕНТІВ КОЛЕДЖУ ЗА ДОПОМОГОЮ УЧАСТІ У ВОЛОНТЕРСЬКІЙ ДІЯЛЬНОСТІ

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of socialization of students with the help of participation in the volunteering activity, taking into account the technical status of the college.It is indicated that the basis of teaching the college students are the subjects of technical orientation. However, this fact does not negate the need of students socialization, that will contribute to their formation as full members of the modern society, who have an idea of social values and are able to comply with them. Therefore, an important factor of this kind of socialization can be the volunteering activity, which is an indicator of the availability of the basis of public values, and will also contribute to their further development.The analysis of scientific works of domestic researchers allowed us to make the conclusion that an important factor can be considered the volunteer’s desire to apply these knowledges, having a theoretical focus, in practice. Because using of competences only in the theoretical sense will not bring a positive result of the ongoing activities. It was revealed that the first stage of socialization is the consequence of the student’s participation in the volunteering activity in general, which contributes to the formation of common values, which are necessary for the student to form oneself as an individual. The second stage is the formation of more specific qualities and knowledges which are necessary for the professional activity.Based on these characteristics, we can talk about the existence of two necessary conditions for the socialization of the individual: the formation of social values and the professional qualities or competences. Therefore, answering the following questions, it is necessary to note the importance of socialization of college students. This is a necessary condition for their formation not only in the professional sphere, but also for their self-improvement. What about the second question of the relationship of volunteering with the process of students’ socialization, we can note that this activity contributes to the formation of socially significant personal qualities (empathy, the desire to provide free assistance, the desire to provide an assistance to their community, which will lead to the understanding of the importance of volunteering for the state), and professional skills (the activity in the context of their future specialization can be compared with the experience of practice at the production).
