Abstract

The results of a study of mercury content in the muscle tissue of five species of fish caught in the Amur River are presented. The detected concentrations did not exceed the maximum permissible limits established by TR CU 021/2011. However, for some specimens the mercury concentration approached the maximum, which suggested that there was a risk of mercury accumulation in the body of fish above the MPC over the next few years of life under constant conditions.
