Abstract

The scope is to study the prevalence of echinococcosis in animals and humans in the Vakhdat district of the Republic of Tajikistan. The research is shown that the Vakhdat district is endemic for echinococcosis. The disease affects cattle, sheep, dogs and humans. The epizootic situation of echinococcosis in animals and humans in some settlements and in the Republic of Tajikistan as a whole should be studied specifically and purposefully in close cooperation between the veterinary service, the Centers of State Sanitary Epidemiological Supervision of all levels and ecologists. This will make it possible to make a cadastre of epizootic and epidemically dangerous zones and develop specific measures to combat this disease.
