Abstract

The article examines the style features of the vocal genres of the Kuban Nogais’ wedding rituals: bride’s lamentations “сынъсув” , wedding procession participants’ songs “орайда-райда!” , well-wishes “алгыс” , the versions of drinking songs (“ тилек”, “боза”) , reproving songs “каргыс йырлар” , etc. The author shows that the ritual function and semantics of poetical texts determine the basic morphological features (poetical and musical structures) of genres and the ways of their realization. Wedding songs, lamentations and sayings manifest the main (not subjected to transformation) and peripheral (changeable) genre features.
